How Badminton Hs Quietly Gained Ground Over the Decades

Badminton is quite a gentle sport to begin with but like many others, once you have mastered the beginning of the game and learned your way around the scoring system, it is very possible to find yourself getting more expert with speed.  It does require dedication and a good tutor of course.  It’s no good going along to the local sports centre and just waltzing on to the bdminton court and demanding a game.  Like every sport, there are disciplines to be followed.  Badminton is thought to have originated in ancient Greece.  It then spread throughout Europe and Asia.  It is relatively cheap to join and get equipment for.  Just the right footwear and the raquet needed – and usually a sporty look in the clothing.  However, no heavy bag of clubs or a set of cricket whites needed.  Even th shuttlecocks are nice and lightweight.  The basic game is played by two players or two teams of two players.  They play on a rectangular court not disimilar to tennis but instead of heavy tennis or squash balls, they bat shuttlecocks over the net.   The shuttlecock is very light, a feather covered projectile and its lightness does make for the challenge – not only how to get it to go over the net but to get somewhere near the other player but not so easily that he can return it back without it dropping and thus giving you the point.  Shuttlecocks are very sensitive to drifting side winds, which makes for very interesting play!
